We will send two yards (close to two meters) of horn string to you free of charge, provided you mail us a stamped, self-addressed envelope. One free piece per address per year. Choose one of the following:

(a) 30 lb test black braided Dacron. Fast, light, but may wear on screw threads and break sooner than expected. The best action in strong string.
(b) 50 lb test black braided Dacron. Fast, medium action, resists breakage. The best compromise of strength and speed.
(c) 80 lb test black braided Dacron. Strong, a bit heavy, and practically indestructible. Slightly heavier than Yamaha yellow string, this will endure anything, but is not quite as fast. Works best on articulated linkages. Recommended for tuba string linkages.
