We get MANY requests for information about our MB cases. Many of those questions are answered in our page, Which MB Case? Most other questions are about availability. Here's why it can take so long to get an MB case: First, they are made in Brazil and shipped directly to our shop. We can, and often enough do, have problems with the shipments - problems that are beyond our control. These have included slow customs procedures in the U.S., slow customs procedures in Brazil (once we even endured a three-month long customs strike in Brazil, which happens periodically), lost paperwork, lost crates, and just plain waiting for an empty enough flight out from Sao Paolo to the US. We do everything we can to avoid these problems, but they can crop up from time to time. Second, we order "extra" cases. We call them stock order cases, and they are almost always in black nylon cordura. However, the demand for these cases is so extremely high that every one of the cases we order is sold months before we get them into our shop. We just don't have "extra" cases available in our stock to accommodate emergency requests, even though we have been trying to do so. Third, and not the least, MB takes about five months to produce a shipment for us. Their production is 100% of capacity and any little problem can slow an order. The demand for these cases is high because they have the quality and design features that everyone craves. The competition is just not able to produce the same quality and features, and certainly not for the same price. We do everything we can to expedite orders. When the cases arrive, we ship them out immediately. You can be sure that we do our utmost to get your case to you as quickly as possible. |
