Our premier publication is our own version of Brahm's
Academic Festival Overture, for double brass quintet and percussion.
This is a powerful and exciting arrangement by Dave Weiner, carefully set to
capture the intent of the composer, but in a brass ensemble setting.
Arranged as a concert showpiece with a high degree of difficulty, it can be
performed with or without percussion. The double brass quintet
instrumentation allows established groups to partner for an exciting opening
number or finale to a varied program. Instrumentation includes 1 Eb
trumpet, 3 C trumpets, 2 horns in F, 2 tenor trombones, bass tuba, and
contrabass tuba. Percussion includes timpani, cymbals, and triangle.
